TGIF!!!

Hello, hello!

I'm in a happy mood as I'm heading off to NYC in a few...meeting up with Andy Chen and hittin' the town! The overnight snow storm was apparently a false alarm as I woke up to no snow in sight - that automatically put me in a better mood. No snow to scrape off the car!

I've set myself up a nice work station (see photo) and now that I'm packing up for the weekend, I realize I'm going to already miss it. It's cozy and well lit, even mostly ergonomic...what more can I ask for! Oh yeah, and the kitchen is 2 floors down so if I want a snack, I get to exercise for it!!

I'm also adding a photo of my friends' kitchen wall - SO organized! I want to set one of these suckers up at my house too...we tech people love our whiteboards! Teachers too I guess since Celine is a teacher...he he he. Anyways, I'm off to finish packing. Will share how the weekend goes!

Second night in Allentown...

After nearly freezing to death last night, I have bought an electric blanket today. It's up and running, getting my sheets all nice and toasty for me. Ah the wonders of innovation...however, if I am MIA tomorrow, please call the police as I might *be* 'toast'!

Just for the record, the house I am staying in DOES have heating which is set to 65 at night. But I happen to be in the one room that has bay windows and not as much insulation I guess. They warned me to which I said: "I love to sleep in the cold!" Which is true, but only once my bed is warmed up for me...I seem to lack the ability to generate heat myself.

Oh, and I checked the weather forecast for the next 10 days...I wish I didn't!
Monday's HI is 16F and the low is 0F...yes, that's ZERO and not a typo...oh my...

First Day In Allentown, PA

So, about 5 seconds after I park my car in front of my friends' house, it starts to snow. Wonderful...well, kinda nice. It looked pretty last night, but this morning I had to de-snow my car for the first time in 2 years - about 1 inch. Not too bad...

Today's High Temp: 30 F
Tonight's Low Temp: 17 F

I totally *cannot* wait to get outside...NOT!
